32. A Promising Harvest.

This is the cooking apple tree in the garden today. It is absolutely loaded with pie filling.
The plum trees have let us down this year, but we're alright for apples. We bought ourselves an apple picker a few weeks back too. That should get a lot of use. (It's basically just a long pole with a cloth bag on the end, but it's better than anything we could have built).

When you said you'd bought an apple picker I visualised a bare chested, triangular torsoed twentysomething student trying to earn a few quid shinning up trees. Naturally I was very relieved to hear it was a bag on a stick.

Hmmm. Prefer the sound of your apple picker. Where would one buy such a thing?
