Went to a fancy dress party dressed as Rosemary (from Rosemary's Baby). Nobody asked who I had come as so I gathered that they all assumed I was not in costume.
What I needed was just one item as knock-out as these fab shoes. People would have known that I was dressed up then, for sure.
Charlotte, the birthday girl, had planned to go as Dorothy (Wizard of Oz) and bought the shoes well in advance. There was a last minute hitch with the rest of the costume though, but rather than return the shoes (and who could do that???) she managed to get her hands on a Minnie Mouse costume at the 11th hour, and the shoes went beautifully.
