7. Our little boy at 20 weeks!

I'm not sure this is the best quality picture, but what else could I post today?
We have had our anomaly scan and all is well. The sonographer had a hard time measuring femurs and checking organs, as our baby was moving about so much. He spent most of the time upside-down with his knees smacking into his eye sockets as he grabbed at his feet and repeatedly missed!

6. Jump Apples.

Harriet calls the apples in the garden "jump apples" even though she can't jump and even if she could she'd still not be able to reach them!
It's just as well Harriet can't reach them, because the shorter tree that's so laden its branches are well within her grasp has already proven too tempting for her! She thinks the "baby" apples are cute and doesn't understand why I won't let her eat them!

5. Harriet's brambles are coming on nicely!

Despite the efforts of an overzealous twat, who took it upon himself to hack the brambles down in the spring, they are growing back and bearing fruit.

Harriet loved being able to pick her own fruit last year...

4. House Martins.

We have lodgers in our eaves every summer and this year's batch of fledglings are very nearly ready to leave. I leant out of the window to take this picture after Scott told me that these normally shy birds were poking their heads out and taking a curious look down at him!
How cute!

3. Harriet and Rosie the cat.

Harriet's speech is coming along so well now. She is constantly chattering to me, herself, her toys, Rosie...
Here she is explaining what happens when you blow the head off a dandelion, and she is taking great care in making sure that Rosie follows every word.

2. Lords and Ladies (Wild Arum)

These have sprung up under an apple tree in the garden.
When I took the photo it was in bright sunlight and the colours didn't seem nearly as brilliant to my naked eyes as they do in the picture! Maybe I need to upgrade my eyes...

1. Stormy Weather In The Valley.

We're very lucky in that from our vantage point we can be fairly sure what the weather is going to do (unless the weather comes from over the hill behind us, in which case it takes us by surprise).
We get to see some amazing weather sweeping across the valley, this storm was spectacular because it was surrounded on all sides by bright sunshine!
